Here at BCP Council we have strong ambitions to grow. Born out of Local Government Reorganisation in 2019, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole have come together to form the 10th largest urban local authority in England. It is a place where culture and heritage meet innovation and modernity, village meets town, country meets coast, creativity meets digital, businesses flourish and people thrive.
Our vision is to make our thriving, world-class area a prosperous and inclusive place for generations to come, where ambitions are achieved for all our residents. As part of BCP Council's Corporate Strategy, we are committed to developing vibrant communities, with an outstanding quality of life, where everyone plays an active role and where our professionals can do their best work and have fulfilling careers.
We have several exciting opportunities to join our Transport & Engineering Services, working for a newly formed local authority where transformation and digital ways of working are at the heart of what we do. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of Transport & Engineering Services within the authority. We have been awarded £79M for Transforming the way our residents and visitors travel and are expecting further funding for Active Travel Measures, as well as ongoing funding through BSIP and the Local Transport Plan Programme.
We recognise that people are our most important asset. As an organisation we need the best people, which is why we aim to provide an attractive benefits package and positive employment experience. We offer competitive pay and a full induction, support, training and personal development package.
If you are committed, driven and have the ideas and passion to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities, then we want to hear from you.
